See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil.

If you are looking to lighten the load of negative images that pass through your brain on a daily basis, then you are like me. That's why this entry is dedicated to seeing, speaking and hearing no evil!

See: Chocolat

While this movie came out many years ago, it still makes my mouth water each time I watch it! The main character, played by Juliette Binoch is an adorable single mother whose free sprit begins to inspire an entire french village to "live life to the fullest" and enjoy the sweet moments while they can!

Speak: Any language you want!

For years I have wanted to speak Italian, learn French, try to brush up on spanish! I have finally decided that I am sick of procrastinating! What better day to start then today!?

Rosetta Stone is for more serious learners who are ready to fully submerge themselves in another language. This program is internationally known for it's effectiveness and success.

For those of you who are just looking to pick up a few words here and there, check out this awesome site called Transparent Language. It provides a audible recording of the pronunciation and many other nifty features for language learners.

As the Italians would say, "Buona Fortuna!" (Good luck!)

Hear: Herbie Hancock's, The Imagine Project

This album is a must have! And I say that as a music educator and full-on addict of jazz. The Imagine Project is an amazing international recording and film project that not only highlights the musical genius of Herbie Hancock, but features many mega super stars from all over the world. This album reincarnates some of my most favorite songs in a way that I could have never imagined... no pun intended.

The first track on the album, Imagine, features Pink, who I barely recognized with her breathy and soulful interpretation. The album also features: Dave Matthews, Anoushka Shankar, Jeff Beck, The Chieftains, John Legend, India Arie, Seal, Pink, Juanes, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Chaka Khan, K'Naan, Wayne Shorter, James Morrison, and Lisa Hannigan.

This is one you do not want to miss!

  2. I love chocolat too! That's a great movie!

And I DEFINITELY encourage anyone to learn another language. It is so amazing to broaden your cultural horizons and converse with people you wouldn't otherwise be able to.
