A Quarter Past Silly

Good afternoon sisters and readers,

Today after one of my classes, I was able to sit on a bench and admire the falling leaves and laugh with a person who I like very, very much. We all love our friends, boyfriends, girlfriends and families and can talk with them for hours, but can we really put into words why we like those people so much? If not, check out this adorable little book called, "I like You" by Sandol Stoddard. I saw this in Anthropologie a few weeks ago and it made me literally laugh out loud and smile from ear to ear. I believe that it is just as important for grownups to share their sweet and silly remarks with each other as it is for kids who probably say these potent phrases every moment without a second thought.

Italic
'I like you and I know why.

I like you because you are a good person to like.
I like you because when I tell you something special, you know it's special
And you remember it a long, long time.
You say, Remember when you told me something special
And both of us remember'

'You know how to be silly

That's why I like you
Boy are you ever silly
I never met anybody sillier than me till I met you'

'I like you because you know when it's time to stop being silly

Maybe day after tomorrow
Maybe never
Too late, it's a quarter past silly
'

'I like you because I don't know why but
Everything that happens is nicer with you
I can't remember when I didn't like you
It must have been lonesome then'

To read the rest of this charming book, you can visit Barnes and Noble online or visit this link: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090118080829AA07dpT

You would be surprised how much it could brighten the day of someone you love if you simply tell them that you like them and why.

I like you readers and sisters because you read my silly thoughts. Thanks!

Good tunes coming soon on my next post. Stay tuned! Have a great day!

Until we meet again,
mj mini
