Mum-a-mia!

Around this time of the year, it is easy to feel a little blue. The weather is shifting, it now starts to get dark around 5pm AND you have to wake up extra early to start scraping frost off your windows (I need a garage)!

One thing that always cheers me up and reminds me that the fall days are still around for a few more weeks, are mums (aka Chrysanthemums... no wonder they abbreviate)! They are so gorgeous and can bring a burst of life and freshness to any home during the cooler months.

Not only are they visually stimulating, but did you know that according to the Nasa Clean Air Study, mums have been proved to remove toxic agents from indoor air?! Not only that, but in Asia, yellow mums are often boiled and used to make a sweet tea or even used as a medical healing aid for things such as influenza. Who knew? Go mums!

At extremely reasonable prices (I snagged one at the farmer's market for $3), with minimal care (frequent water/sunlight), & with and array of sensational colors, they are one of my favorite "fall must-haves".

What are some of your fall must-haves, sisters and readers? I would love to know!

Ciao! - MM
