Let It Begin With Me

Hello sisters and friends,

I hope you are all well! It has been so busy lately and I should totally be in the time-out corner for being so behind on my blogging! I have a simple blog today, though. Today is a special day for many reasons. It is Veteran's Day. We owe so much to the young men and women who are away from their homes and who are fighting or have fought to protect our country. I am so grateful for these men and women.

Something I was not as familiar with, unfortunately, is that today is also a day to celebrate a movement for peace all across the world.
The Global Peace Event occurs on November 11 at 11:11. This movement is designed to take a few moments to quiet yourself and simply envision peace on earth. Peace among nature, peace among nations, and peace within ourselves. I was lucky enough to take part in this movement for the first time today in one of my college classes. It was both moving and incredible. We quieted ourselves and then shared the names of those we knew fighting overseas, and others who we just wished to send happy thoughts to. I highly recommend taking a moment to do this anytime you can. I think that the Global Peace Event should occur every day. Peace and happiness to you all.

Until we meet again,
MJ Mini
