"A" is for...

Hello sisters and readers,

Hope you are all well this week. I am so excited for our Alphabet Game! For me, A stands for Andrew Bird. He is a fantastic musician and performer. I first had the chance to here him at Bonnaroo, an incredible annual music festival in Tennessee that hosts talented artists from all over the world. I so enjoyed all of the different bands but Bird's sweeping violin melodies, sweet whistling skill, and unique lyrics really stood out to me. Not only was his music wonderful, but his performance was different from anything I had ever seen before. He simultaneous played the violin, sang, and maneuvered a foot petal which added cool effects to his sounds. The stage that he stood on was surrounded with giant, old fashioned megaphones that spun around, sending his music off into the world. It was so cool! Heretics, Imitosis, Sovay, Tables and Chairs, Why, and Sweetly.... are just a few of my favorites. Love him! His music is salt to the earth.
